TIGERS TAKE DOWN UNC, GEORGIA STATE

A decision has been made. Sam is no longer the white Randy Moss, Randy Moss is now the black Sam Murray.

The boys in orange pulled out a tough win over a physical Tarheel team on October 28th, winning 39-15. The passing attack, led by quarterback Scott Anderson, and the running attack led by Tom McCarthy and Branden Burroughs were clicking on all cylinders. The win gave Clemson home field advantage for the SCCFA championship game this Sunday against UNC.

The South Alabama game was canceled due to several scheduling conflicts and in observance of the six students from USC and the Clemson student that died in a beach house fire the previous Sunday.

Jonathan Wilson makes a stellar catch for a touchdown.

On November 11th, the Tigers pulled above .500 with a solid win over an athletic Georgia State squad, winning 58 - 16. The Tigers came out a little slow, but once the defense set the tone with three picks including one for a touchdown as well as a fumble recovery for a touchdown, the game was sealed. Good luck to Georgia State in the remainder of their schedule. Oh, and remember to wish head coach Patrick Sapp a happy birthday when you see him.

TIGERS LOSE TO AVERETT IN A CLOSE ONE

The Tigers dropped a close one to Averett University (D3) this past Sunday, 26-30. Clemson stayed tied with Averett most of the first half but trailed 13-23 at the half. The Tigers rallied in the second half, taking the lead 26-23. They kept the lead and held the Cougars scoreless until the last minute and a half in the game. The Tigers drove the ball back to midfield but were unable to score in the remaining seconds of the game. Pictures to come soon.

Clemson downs Georgia State on the road, 61-18

Halftime meeting in front of the scoredboard.

Congratulations to the team for traveling to Atlanta and beating Georgia State by a final score of 61-18. The performance showcased the most points a Clemson Club Football team has ever scored against any opponent dating back to the 80s. Next up for the Tigers is an open date followed by another week off for Fall Break. The team returns to action traveling up to Averette (Division III) to play their Freshman/Sophomore team the week after Fall Break. Check out the facebook group for more pictures of the game. Practice resumes this week on Wednesday. Players, keep an eye on your email for practice times. Once again, congratulations and GO TIGERS!

Sadly, we lost to UNC this past Sunday. The Tarheels had a few big plays including a long run on a draw and a fourth quarter deep touchdown pass. A blocked Clemson field goal and subsequent UNC score ended the game. Practice is tonight at 7:30 at the club fields. Players should dress out in shells (Helmet/shoulder pads).
